Children X Ray Lead Collar completely protect the neck and sensitive thyroid gland during dental radiography. Fastens in back with hook and loop closure. Provides a full 0.5mm lead content protection with cartoon color. Available in either the standard or original style thyroid collars, our Pediatric Thyroid collar is designed to protect children ages 2 to 14 ages from harmful x-ray.
The Use of Thyroid Shields in Dental Radiography:
1. Start by selecting the appropriate size of the collar. The collar should fit snugly around your neck without causing discomfort or restricting your breathing.
2. Hold the X Ray Children Lead Collar with the lead side facing outwards. The lead material is essential for blocking radiation during x-ray procedures.
3. Place the Adjustable Lead X-Ray Collar around your neck, positioning it so that the lead side covers the front and sides of your neck. The back of the collar should rest against the back of your neck.
4. Fasten the X-Ray Lead Rubber Protection Collar securely using the provided closure mechanism. This may be a Velcro strap, buckle, or snap buttons, depending on the design of the collar. Ensure that it is tight enough to stay in place but not so tight that it causes discomfort.
